Training

Our licensed and highly-trained staff is largely recruited from law enforcement, private security and military. DDS security officers are hand-picked to be vigilant and thorough when carrying out their assigned duties. Training is one of the most important factors that distinguish DDS from any other security firm. A well-trained security guard can create the difference between average service and exemplary service to our clients.

The training courses are overseen by Delval G Desavieu Jr, who served as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Delval brings 19 years of experience and a strong background in operations and training. He has a countless number of awards and certifications. Additionally, local law enforcement will be contracted out quarterly to assure all training certifications are met and mastered for our officers. Our officers are trained to employ only as much force that is reasonable and necessary with respect to the mission. With our officers on site, you can feel safe and confident that they can handle whatever task is given.

Key Requirements for DDS officers while on duty:

• Analyze threat potential
• Protect the lives of client’s employees
• Protect the client’s assets from destruction and damage
• Implement appropriate defensive responses catered to the specific situation
• Be prepared with less than 24 hours’ notice
• Be armed or unarmed, depending on client’s needs and requests

The management team has implemented the following strategies, required for each site to assure thoroughness and consistency of all DDS officers:

• Random spot checks using field supervisors
• Guard check-in – check-out time sheets
• Independent 3rd party inspections (done by your company)
• Site Specific Training techniques
• Employee Evaluations (Monthly Feedback)
• Business Evaluations (done by your company yearly but accepted as often as needed)
• Partnership Employee Program – earn a certain percentage discounted off of your bill for closed referrals to other companies
